Note for Hospital Authority job applicants:

1. New recruits to the Hospital Authority on contract full time employment terms with employment commencement date on or after 1 June 2015 will be subject to the new retirement age of 65, regardless of their ranks.
2. In accordance with the Hong Kong Government’s Preparedness Plan, the Hospital Authority has implemented measures for the Emergency Response Level (E), all people entering public hospitals must wear a surgical mask in all hospital areas. 3. In line with the Government's precautionary measures against COVID-19, starting from 1 November 2021, all people, except for exempted persons, are required to use the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile app to scan the venue QR code when entering the Hospital Authority Head Office building, public hospitals and institutions.
4. Hospital Authority has implemented the new phase of "Vaccine Pass" arrangement. With effect from 16 May 2022, all Hospital Authority full-time and part-time staff, save for those who are unfit for COVID-19 vaccination due to medical conditions supported by a valid COVID-19 Vaccination Medical Exemption Certificate, are required to have received three doses of COVID-19 vaccine prior to their entry into indoor Hospital Authority premises which are their places of work, or for work-related purposes.
5. Job applicants who have not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine are strongly encouraged to complete vaccination as soon as possible. In line with the Hospital Authority's "Vaccine Pass" arrangement, persons entering Hospital Authority buildings and offices for work-related purposes (including for job interviews) are now required to produce proof of having received three doses of COVID-19 vaccination. Employment will only be offered to suitable candidates after they have complied with the above-mentioned “Vaccine Pass” arrangement applicable to the serving Hospital Authority staff.

5. 醫院管理局鼓勵所有未接種2019冠狀病毒病疫苗的求職者盡快完成接種。根據醫院管理局的「疫苗通行證」安排,因工作關係需要進入醫院管理局設施及辦公室的人士(包括參加面試)將會被要求出示已接種三劑2019冠狀病毒病疫苗證明。合適的申請人亦須在符合上述適用於現職員工的「疫苗通行證」安排後,才會獲聘用。

1. The personal data collected in your application will be used by us to assess your suitability to assume the job duties of the position for which you have applied and to determine preliminary remuneration and benefits package to be discussed with you subject to selection for the position. 

2. Personal data on your application are regarded as mandatory for selection purposes. Incorrect information provided will affect your application results. According to our policy, the input data will be kept not more than two years for record purposes. 

3. Computer data are stored outside Hong Kong and storage media to which access is strictly controlled and/or are located within restricted areas. Access to records and data without appropriate management authorization are strictly prohibited. 

4. Please also note that your personal data may be made available to:
appropriate persons in any relevant government departments / appropriate authorities when the HA is required to provide it under the relevant legislation for use for the purposes of that legislation or where required or permitted by law; and
third parties (including third parties who provide administrative, storage, information technology and other services to the HA to assist in Recruitment) to process your personal data for above mentioned purposes.  Such service providers are subject to obligations not to use or disclose that data, except to provide those services.

5. Under the Personal Data Privacy Ordinance, you have a right to request access to, and to request correction of, your personal data in relation to your application. You may make your request by writing to the company for the attention of the Human Resources Department. 

6. This Privacy Policy / Disclaimer has been translated into Chinese. If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the English version and the Chinese version, the English version shall prevail. 

7. If you are located in the EU and you provide your personal data to the HA:
The HA will process your personal data as data controller for the purpose of relevant data protection laws in the EU.

Hong Kong is not covered by a European Commission adequacy decision.
